For the main character we will have whatever fits the scene, such as pyjamas, appropriate swimming costume, party attire, gym attire etc. But mostly colours that will represent his emotions, such as: Bright colours; Happiness, Dark colours; anger.

10 masked people - Teenagers
For the 10 masked teens they will also have whatever fits the scene. The colours they wear will relate to their particular emotions. They will be stereotypical teenage clothing.

Masks:
Worried Emotion - Mask 1

Happy Emotion - Mask 2
Moody Emotion - Mask 3
Mysterious Emotion - Mask 4
Angry Emotion - Mask 5
Calm Emotion - Mask 6
Shocked Emotion - Mask 7
Concerned Mask - Mask 8

First Scene

This scene will be a 10-20 second clip of the main character, Hermit, getting ready to go out. He is a 17 year old male.

Hermit will be waking up and getting ready and we want to show his purity when he wakes up.
  • White Top - White represents innocence, and this is what we want to show of Hermit for when he first wakes up.
  • Checkered Pyjama Bottoms - Blue and White checkered, blue represents calm and is something we want to show Hermit as when he wakes up.

Donnie Darko (Donnie Darko) - A troubled teenager
Here we see him wearing a plain light blue t-shirt for bed. Showing his innocence at the start of the film.

Norman Bates (Bates Motel) - Also another troubled teen, who is not your stereotypical teenage boy.
Throughout the series we see him wearing numerous checkered shirts with different blues, greens and greys and whites.

Second Scene: 8 Masked Friends
Gym playing together:
We see the 9 friends plus Hermit, playing a game of basket ball together a friendlier type of confrontation in contrast to the last symbolising a healthier fight with emotions.

Third Scene: 7 Masked Friends
Party Dancing:
We will see Hermit and his 8 friends plus Hermit at a party dancing together, this symbolises the idea of using with his emotions and having a good time.

Mask 1: Worried Emotion

  • Green Lace Dress- This emotion is someone who worries about everything, and in this scene they are worrying about fitting in. So to show this, they will wear a dress because this is what stereotypically teens wear at parties, and they want to fit in. Lace also represents innocence, it is worn by children at their christening and this is a time of innocence, and we want to show innocence with this character.
  • Small White Heeled Shoes- They are going to wear heeled shoes, because they want to seem like they're fitting in, and trying to be older, but they don't want to wear big heels because they worry that more of the superior friends might question why they're trying to be bigger and better than everyone else.
  • Green Representation - Green represents envy, and this is what this character is feeling to everyone else. They are jealous and worry they don't fit in, so they are trying so hard to be 'normal'. This is an on going problems with teens, they feel as if they don't fit in with society, and this will be shown trough this character. Green also represents growth which is what we also want to show, how the teens are growing up too quickly and wanting to become adults.
  • White Representation - White represents innocence, and this is what we want to show trough this character, that the pressures of teens wanting to fit and become older is changing teens and taking away this innocence.

Mask 2: Happy Emotion

  • Yellow Dress - Yellow is a colour that represents happiness and joy and this is what we want this character to represent. Also, happiness and joy is feelings that teenagers have at parties.
  • White Heels - White is showing the innocence of this character. Heels also represent older more sophisticated woman, and this is showing how stereotypically teens who are going to parties and dressing up are trying to be older and more grown up.

Frenchy (Grease) -  Frenchy is your stereotypical very happy about everything, excitable, always smiling teen. This is what we want our 'happy' emotion to represent, this sort of personality. Also, for prom Frenchy wore a yellow dress to emphasise her happiness.

Mask 3: Moody Emotion

  • Black Skater Dress -  Having a dress is showing the party stereotype for a teenage girl, but this dress has no pattern or nothing really exciting about it which is showing the personality.
  • Black Converse -  The emotion 'moody' is seen as someone who doesn't really like to interact with others, and doesn't really have fun. So having plain boring shoes is showing this emotion. Also, girl teens who wear all black are stereotypically seen as "goths" or "emos" and in these are a social group who stereotypically aren't happy, not friendly, and keep themselves to themselves.
  • Black Representations - Black is a good colour to use with this emotion; The colour black is a colour which is known to be intimidating and unfriendly, it keeps things bottles up inside, its known as a very dark and mysterious colour, and keeps things bottled up inside. This is all the things we want to show about the character. Black also represents sophistication, this is another thing the teens think they are when they go to social events and drink alcohol.

Mask 4:  Mysterious Emotion

Orange V-neck T-shirt- The mysterious character will be the one that's up to no good, trying to get the all the attention, being the 'lad' at the party. He will wear a v-neck, this will show off more of his chest which is showing he wants to show off his body showing his self-confidence.

  • Skinny Black Jeans - The jeans will be tight, and this will again be showing his body more.
  • White Converse - Trainers are a stereotypically a piece of 'boy' clothing, and this is showing that this character in no way wants to be feminine, also boys stereotypically get up to no good and are wild and carefree, and this is what we want to show this character as.
  • Gold Watch - Having gold things can be known as 'showing off' and this is what we want this character to be, we want him to be.
  • Orange Representations - The meaning of orange is that it is a very "showing-off" colour, which is what we want this character to be doing. The colour orange relates to social communication, its a warm inviting colour and is both physically and mentally stimulating so it gets people talking and thinking. The colour orange is optimistic and uplifting, rejuvenating our spirit. Also the colour orange is the colour of Prisoners clothing in some states, and this can be seen as people who cause chaos and mischief, and this is what our character will be seen as.
  • Black Representations - Teenagers often have a psychological need to wear black during the stage of transformation from tee to adult. It signifies the ending of one part of their life and beginning to another, this is something that this character is showing because they're trying to act older than they actually are. Black is also often associated with sexiness, which this is character is trying to put across to the females.
  • White Representations - The white is still showing the innocence of this teen, and how yet he has not yet made adulthood because he's still young minded and is still too immature to become an adult.
Mask 5: Angry Emotion

  • Red Top - Teens at parties like to act older than they actually are, so wearing a vest top will show more skin, showing they're older so don't have to cover up their body anymore.
  • Black Jeans - At parties stereotypically teen girls wear dresses or skirts, but this is subverting from this stereotype, but also conforms to the stereotype that the angry teen will do and wear what they want because they answer to no one.
  • Gold Necklace - Teens who stereotypically wear gold jewellery are more the 'thuggish' type, and this is what the stereotypical 'angry' character is.
  • Red Heels - The heels show a sense that they are in charge because they tower over everyone else, this is the stereotype of an 'angry' person, as they seem to control everyone.
  • Red Representations - Red represents anger, and being around too much red can cause someone to become irritated, agitated and ultimately angry.  It is a very emotionally intense colour, these are all the feelings we want this character to represent.
  • Black Representation - Intimidating and un-friendly, this is another feelings we want this character to be.

Mask 6: Calm Emotion

  • Blue Polo - The calm emotion is a sort of person who doesn't really care about much, they're very calm and don't try and impress anyone. So for the party scene, this teen will wear a plain blue polo because its not too smart, yet its not too casual.
  • Blue Jeans - The jeans are showing that this teen isn't dressing up to try and impress anyone with smart clothing, they're just coming in baggy jeans and this subverts the idea that teenage boys put their best clothes on to impress girls.
  • Blue Pumps - These trainer pumps are not too fancy, or not too smart, they are casual, like this character, they're very laid back and calm. This also shows the stereotype that boys wear trainers.
  • Blue Representation - Blue is a very calming colour, it is reserved and quite and doesn't like to make a fuss or draw attention to itself. This is how we want this character to be shown in this scene, they're just laying back and letting everyone else enjoy the party and not being the stereotypical 'lad' and being loud and attracting attention of all the other people.

Mask 8:  Concerned Emotion

  • White Long Sleeved Crop top - The concerned emotion is a sort of person who cares about everyone, and is there for everyone and wants everyone to be okay and puts everyone before themselves. The 'sweet' girl. So, i wanted a long sleeves top to show that they are not showing too much skin, and this shows they're protecting their innocence, like they're protecting their friends.
  • Pink Skirt - Skirts are stereotypically worn at parties with teens, but this is a longer skirt, whereas teens stereotypically where short skirts to act more grown up, this character subverts the idea of a 'carefree' girl teenager.
  • Silver Heart Necklace - The heart on the necklace is representing that this character has a strong heart, is is caring for everyone.
  • Pink Sandals - Sandals are the closest shoes you can get to being bare foot. Bare foot represents the innocence and purity because younger children are often bare foot. It also subverts the stereotype that teens wear high heels at parties.
  • Pink Representations - The colour pink represents compassion and love, it is also seen as a thoughtful and caring colour. This is what we want our character to be seen as. Pink shows tenderness and kindness with its empathy and sensitivity, its a non-threatening colour, it represents sweetness and innocence of the child inside. It can also remind you of early childhood memories, associated with the comfort of your mother figure, and this is what this character is doing, its concerned for the emotions around it and wants to look after them all.
  • White Representations - The colour white, again represents innocence. It is also a colour of protection and offers a sense of peace, comfort and hope, and helps other emotional upsets.
  • Silver Representations - Silver is seen as an emotional and sensitive colour.

From a colour psychology perspective, blue is reliable and responsible
This is a colour that recharges our spirits during times of mental stress
You only have to focus on the colour turquoise, whether on a wall or clothing and you feel instant calm and gentle invigoration, ready to face the world again!
Blue is the helper, the rescuer, the friend in need. It's success is defined by the quality and quantity of its relationships. It is a giver, not a taker. It likes to build strong trusting relationships and becomes deeply hurt if that trust is betrayed.
From a colour psychology perspective, blue is reliable and responsible. This colour exhibits an inner security and confidence. You can rely on it to take control and do the right thing in difficult times. It has a need for order and direction in its life, including its living and work spaces.

Pink, from a negative colour meaning, can represent a lack of will power, a lack of self-reliance and a lack of self-worth. It can indicate an overly emotional and overly cautious nature.
